| Edington Agencies is a privately owned company established in 1991 by Doug and David Edington to focus on providing electric motor solutions for manufacturers, service providers and equipment designers. Edington Agencies carries a diverse product range, offers a wide choice of brands and has the technical expertise. Edington's range of motors are quality new electric motors, we are not rewinders or repairers. As Edington Agencies source the bulk of their products directly from motor manufacturers, they are able to offer very competitive prices. Edington Agencies has expanded over the years and in addition to geared motors, industrial motors, evaporative cooler motors, vacuum motors and blowers, they also carry air movement products, power transmission products including timing belts and V belts, axial fans and linear actuators. Edington Agencies carry large stocks at its Brisbane warehouse and most orders can be dispatched Australia wide within a 24 hour time frame (subject to availability). |

It is with much sadness that we must record the passing of the founder of Edington Agencies, Doug Edington. Doug passed away peacefully on May 21st 2011 aged 83 years. To the very end Doug loved visiting the staff at Edington Agencies and surveying the daily activities of the business, hoping always to have a chat with one of many long-time customers. He was always keen to participate in any discussions and was able to bring his profound knowledge & experience of both business and electric motors to bear when required. During Doug’s more than 50 years in business he influenced for the better the lives of a huge number of people. He enjoyed the opportunity to interact with staff, customers, suppliers and business partners. Edington Agencies was but one of many business pursuits he engaged in, but it remained one close to his heart as he began his career so many years ago with electric motors. Whilst Edington Agencies will of course carry on and continue to grow strongly, there is no doubt Doug’s guiding influence will be acutely missed.
